Stallions

GOLFBALL

Golfball is by Grenadier who is well-known for producing outstanding sporthorses for the Olympic disciplines. Grenadier himself finished the stallion performance test second as a Class 1 stallion. His breeding value index for dressage is 22 out of more than 1500 stallions. He sired 17 approved sons, among them is the Olympic Team Gold Medalist in Dressage Golfstrom I in Seoul 1980. Grenadier's sire Grunewald sired the Olympic dressage horse Grunnox, the Olympic Team Gold Medalist in Atlanta 1996. Grande, the sire of Grunewald, the great grandsire of Golfball, sired exceptional sporthorses for the Olympic disciplines. For the international dressage competitions he sired Galapagos, Grande Giso, Gute Sitte, Grande and Gracioso. They all were the top Grand Prix horses in Germany for years.

Golfball's dam line is of equal importance. His dam's sire, Lachs, is an offspring of the wonderful foundation Trakehner stallion line of Lateran. Lachs, by Lateran, out of a dam by Goldfisch II, has interesting line breeding on the stallion Goldfisch II with the sire line. Grenadier traces back to the foundation sire Goldfisch II as well. This Trakehner line also produced the international Grand Prix jumper Lavendel who placed fourth in the individual in the Olympics in Munich 1972, ridden by Hugo Simon.

Golfball's third generation of pedigree includes the Thoroughbred stallion Marcio xx, who is considered one of the best Thoroughbred stallions in the Warmblood breeding program ever. Marcio xx sired international dressage horses such as Marzio, ridden by Inge Theodorescu, Mazepa, ridden by E. Pracht, Ma Griffe, ridden by Bubi Günther. Marcio xx sired his own stallion line with Marconi, Milan, Matrose, Marmor, Maat, Monaco. They all have a very positive influence in the warmblood breeding program today.

Golfball has a pedigree for the world wide breeding program and it has proven itself throughout the generations of sporthorses on international show grounds. Golfball completed the 11 month stallion test. However, due to an injury, he did not have a riding career. Golfball is an elegant stallion with an exceptional disposition and impeccably bred for dressage.

GRAF GÖTZ

Graf Götz made himself an outstanding career in the US, trained and ridden to Grand Prix Dressage by Steven Wolgemuth. Since his pedigree is more directed to the jumper division, Steven and Graf Götz have proven that rideability and athletic ability are the foundation of any kind of training in any discipline.

Graf Götz is by Götz, who comes from the old foundation lines of Goldfisch II, who sired the exceptional Grand Prix jumper Gladstone, ridden by Hugo Simon, with whom he won the first Volvo World Cup in 1979. Gladstone and Hugo Simon were over a decade nearly invincible in the international Grand Prixs. The dam’s sire of Götz, the Thoroughbred stallion Adlerschild xx, is equally important. He is the dam’s sire of the most successful jumper in the world in the 1980’s, Deister, the three time European jumper champion, ridden by Paul Schöckemohle. They both won nearly every Grand Prix around the world. The Goldfisch II line has a tremendous influence in the international shows in dressage and jumping. Gigolo, the multiple winner of international dressage Grand Prixs, winner of the Olympic Gold Medals, is an offspring of this Hanoverian G-line. His sire Grenadier is by Grande, who traces back to the foundation sire Goldfisch II.

Graf Götz's dam's sire is the Hanoverian stallion Wotan, who comes from a second important Hanoverian foundation stallion line, the F-line. Since Wotan was born in 1947, he is mostly only found in the third generations of approved stallions or sporthorses. He is the grandsire of stallions like Akteull, who sired very successful dressage horses and high-priced auction horses for the Hanoverian and Oldenburg Elite Auctions. He is the grandsire of Gutenberg, who sired the the international Grand Prix dressage horse Good Mood, ridden by Susan Dutta in international shows in Europe. He also is the grandsire of the exceptional stallion Raphael, by Ramiro, who sires international competitors for both disciplines.

Graf Götz's third generation of pedigree includes the stallions Abgar, who is from the very old foundation line of the Thoroughbred stallion Adeptus xx, who sired the Hanoverian A-line. Graf Götz has a pedigree with the best of the Hanoverian foundation lines. He certainly will have an impact in producing solid and athletic sporthorses for the shows in the next milenium! Graf Götz is a true gentleman with three spectacular gaits.

PRINCE OPTIMUS

Prince Optimus is an attractive 16.1½h chestnut stallion, imported from Germany after a career as a children’s jumper and dressage horse. He was owned and ridden by the young jumping star Mylene Diedrichsmeier, who competed him in Young Riders classes. Mylene rode Prince Optimus to the 1995 Berlin-Brandenburg State Young Riders Show Jumping Championship.
In Germany Prince Optimus was approved for breeding by the Hannoverian Verband, the Berlin-Brandenburg Verband, and the Baden-Württemberg Verband. In the United States he was approved by the American Hanoverian Society and ISR/Oldenburg NA, and his offspring are also eligible for the Oldenburg Verband and RPSI registries.

Prince Optimus placed 5th in the 100 Day Stallion Performance Test in Marbach Germany scoring 126.8 points, making him a Class 1 Stallion. This is the highest possible rating, making him eligible for approval by all warmblood breed registries in Germany. In the 100 Day Test he received scores of 9 and 10 on rideability, character, temperament, & gaits!

In the USA Prince Optimus competed successfully in eventing, show jumping, and dressage. He quickly reached Prix St Georges level in dressage competition.

His offspring inherit his wonderful generous temperament and are recognized for their superior rideability. They are well-proportioned refined types with beautiful heads and toplines, and excellent legs. Prince Optimus is prepotent for his beauty, conformation, and dynamic movement, probably because he is line-bred 3x on the Hanoverian G-line. All of his ISR/OLD NA, Oldenburg Verband, and RPSI offspring have received scores of 8.0 points or more for their movement!

Approved German Hanoverian Verband, American Hanoverian Society, ISR/Oldenburg NA, Oldenburg Horse Breeders Society, Rhineland Pfalz-Saar International, Westfalen Verband
